Help With MP3s
Need help getting the mp3s to play? There are two ways to go, streaming or downloading.
  • STREAMING
Streaming means that you listen to the mp3 right away (like a radio). You need a fast connection to do this (at least 64 kbps, dialup won't work). Your browser needs to be set up with an mp3 streaming player that will launch when you click on the mp3 link. Usually this application is the RealMedia player or the Windows Media player. All you need to do is click on the mp3 link, and the show should start.
  • DOWNLOADING
Downloading means that you download the entire mp3 (like a big file), and listen to it later. It also has the advantage over streaming in that you can save the file to disk, and burn it to CD. To download the mp3s, right-click on the mp3 link and select "save target as..." or "download..." (with Macs you have to option-click). You still need a player to listen to the mp3 files. I suggest WinAmp.
